Terms of service

DRAFT – these terms are a working draft pending review by a solicitor and must be finalised before launch.

1. The service

BOQ Online prepares Bills of Quantities and related schedules ("the Pack") from drawings, specifications and other documents supplied by the client ("the Documents"). The service is document-based only.

2. Scope and exclusions

• No site visits, meetings or calls are included.
• No variation management, valuations or other post-contract services are included.
• We have no design responsibility. Quantities are measured from the Documents as supplied.
• Where the Documents are incomplete or ambiguous, we list assumptions, exclusions or provisional sums, or raise a written query.

3. Fees and payment

Fees are fixed and confirmed before payment. Payment is due in full before work begins. The delivery date is calculated in working days from the date payment is confirmed. Quotes are valid for 30 days.

4. Queries

Queries are raised and answered in writing through the order page. The delivery period is paused while a query awaits a response.

5. Revisions

Revised or additional Documents supplied after payment are treated as a new order.

6. Cancellation and refunds

Orders may be cancelled free of charge before payment. Refunds after payment are at our discretion [policy to be confirmed].

7. Liability

The Pack is prepared with reasonable skill and care for the client's own use. Our total liability is limited to the fee paid for the relevant order [to be confirmed by solicitor].

8. Intellectual property

The client may use the Pack for their project. We retain ownership of our methods, templates and rate data.

9. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Ireland.
